Costanzo, Bridgett Estel

Bridgett Costanzo is the Working Lands for Wildlife-East regional coordinator for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Before her current position, Bridgett was the science coordinator for the Appalachian Landscape Conservation Cooperative.  She came to the AppLCC with 25-years of on-the-ground experience as the state coordinator for the Partners for Fish and Wildlife habitat restoration program in Virginia.  Under her leadership, the Virginia program grew to manage $3-6M annually and was one of the largest and most accomplished in the U.S.  Bridgett has served on a number of regional task forces: she represented the Fish and Wildlife Service on the 202d report on climate change adaptations prepared under President Obama’s Chesapeake Bay Executive Order No. 13508, and was an active member of the USFWS Northeast Region’s Strategic Habitat Conservation and Climate Change Team from 2005-2010. Her early research focused on avian ecology.  She and was formerly employed by Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Texas A&M, and Northern Prairie and Patuxent Wildlife Research Stations.  Bridgett earned a MS from Cornell University and BS from Southern Illinois University.
