This session will explore how open space and 'all lands' are being addressed in national forest plan revision efforts. The first presentation will discuss how an all-lands approach was applied on the George Washington National Forest under the 1982 planning rule. Then, a planning staff member from the Washington D.C. office will give an overview of the new planning rule, emphasizing cross-boundary planning. The last presenter will present an 'early adopter' perspective on the integration of open space concepts into forest plan revisions under the new planning rule.
