An ever growing body of planning tools is being developed to address current and future conservation concerns. But how can land use planners expect to stay up-to-date on this dynamic and ever changing field? Our program will present findings from several recent surveys on the use of conservation planning tools by local and regional land use planners, as well as guidelines and incentives for conservation design in local development regulations. Presenters will introduce several contemporary conservation planning tools and discuss how land use planners and conservation biologists can improve working partnerships.
