Become Part of the Appalachian LCC Network

Contribute to sustainable landscape-level conservation by joining and adding your information to the database!

The Appalachian Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC) is excited to announce the launching of its unique Member Directory, an expertise database tool that is bringing together a diverse range of individuals and expertise interested in participating in landscape conservation efforts throughout the region. This database will be an ideal tool for colleagues to seek out and communicate with others in their field of interest and identify experts to collaborate on projects. The LCC can also use the database to identify individuals to serve as technical experts for project development, review, and other advisory needs.

Many individuals have already joined our Web Portal (http://applcc.org) and developed a member profile to become part of a searchable database that is creating a dynamic conservation community network for the Appalachian region. Now by identifying areas of expertise and region of expertise within their profiles, users will allow Portal members and the conservation community at large to search for experts from a wide range of fields as well as Network with those of similar research, project, habitat, and funding interests.

Add your expertise and additional member information to the Directory:

  • Log in to our Web Portal if you are already a member
  • After logging in, locate and click on the My Profile link that is to the right of your name and just beneath our banner at the top of the page
  • Click on the Edit Tab in the green toolbar at the top of your Profile page
  • Fill out all appropriate fields including profile, position, organization, state, expertise and upload an image if desired
  • When finished click Save at the bottom of the page
  • Next click on the Expertise Region in the green toolbar to check appropriate region(s) where you have your expertise
  • For new users, first register to our Web Portal: http://applcc.org to acquire username and password information. Then once membership is approved, follow the same directions as above.

Individuals can also identify expertise for their member profile by filling out this Expertise Database Word Document and emailing it back to the Appalachian LCC.

To protect your privacy and avoid unwanted solicitations, we will hide your email address on your profile pages. Please feel free to contact me for any further assistance pertaining to the Member Directory.
