John Faustini is a Hydrologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Southeast Region office in Atlanta, GA. He holds an M.S. in geology (hydrogeology) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in geology (fluvial geomorphology) from Oregon State University. His professional interests include sediment transport, the role of large woody debris in streams and rivers, human impacts on aquatic/riverine habitat, instream flow issues, and climate change impacts on aquatic resources. Major activities include serving as the USFWS Southeast Region's representative on national hydrology issues and working groups; supporting the Region's Inventory & Monitoring Program on aquatic I&M issues and projects; providing technical assistance to refuges, fish hatcheries, and field offices; and serving on scientific/technical committees and working groups for the Southeast Aquatic Resources Partnership (SARP) and southeastern LCCs. Dr. Faustini is active in the South Atlantic, Appalachian, and Gulf Coastal Plains and Ozarks LCCs.
