Nevada Conservation District Program
The Conservation Districts Program provides administrative support to the State Conservation Commission, which develops policy and regulations for Nevada’s 28 locally elected conservation districts.
Nevada Division of Forestry
The mission of the Nevada Division of Forestry is to enhance, conserve and protect Nevada’s ecosystems and communities through vegetation stewardship and wildland fire management.
Nevada Department of Wildlife
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is the state agency responsible for the restoration and management of fish and wildlife resources, and the promotion of boating safety on Nevada’s waters. NDOW is organized into seven divisions (Conservation Education, Habitat, Game, Data and Technology Services, Law Enforcement, Wildlife Diversity and Fisheries) that develop programs and projects, and three regions (eastern, southern and western) that implement these programs.
Nevada Department of Agriculture
The mission of the Nevada Department of Agriculture is to preserve, protect and promote Nevada Agriculture.
Paradise Sonoma Conservation District
The Paradise-Sonoma Conservation District covers the eastern part of Humboldt County. There are about 2,313,640 acres in the district consisting of about 582,640 acres of private land and 1,731,000 acres of public land administered by the U.S. Forest Service (270,000 acres) and Bureau of Land Management.
Arizona Game and Fish Department
Arizona is rich in wildlife diversity, ranking among the top five states in the nation when it comes to the total number of native bird, reptile and mammal species – more than 800.
Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management
The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management provides resources for the prevention and suppression of wildland fire on State Trust Land and private property located outside incorporated communities. The agency provides services for fire prevention, urban and community forestry, forest stewardship, forest health, utilization and marketing, and has a wide variety of grants available.
Coconino Natural Resource Conservation District
Providing a means for people to work together for natural resource conservation and development. To work with all entities; Federal, Indian Nation, State, County, City, Corporate and/or Private. The District direction is always resource conservation through education and management principles for good stewardship.
Idaho Department of Lands
Idaho accepted endowment lands at statehood under the condition that they be managed, in perpetuity, to secure the maximum long-term financial return for the beneficiaries. Endowment lands are different than other public lands. Public land managed by the U.S. Forest Service serves a multiple-use mission. Endowment lands, on the other hand, serve a sole-use mission to earn money for the beneficiaries.
Redington Natural Resource Conservation District
The objective of the Redington NRCD is to provide leadership in promoting the conservation of all natural resources within the district. Throughout the Redington District there are few remaining ranching and farming properties. Farmland is used for crop and/or hay production as well as irrigated pasture. Using farm fields for irrigated pasture allows for rest and rotation of rangelands throughout the growing season for best management practices. Recurrent droughts continue to affect forage production, but conservation planning has lead to bet- ter management on what large ranches remain.
Pima Natural Resource Conservation District
The Pima Natural Resource Conservation District (District or Pima NRCD) is structured as a hybrid of a state agency funded under the Arizona State Lands Natural Resources Division and as an independent local unit of Arizona government. The District’s Board of Supervisors consists of both elected and Governor-appointed Supervisors. The expertise of Pima NRCD and all other Natural Resource Conservation Districts in Arizona is recognized by Arizona statute 37-1054 (A) as follows: “This state recognizes the special expertise of the districts in the fields of land, soil, water and natural resources management within the boundaries of the district.”
Winkelman Natural Resource Conservation District
The stated goal of the Winkelman NRCD is “to support and encourage the proper and wise sustained use and management of our basic renewable and non-renewable natural resources utilizing sound science and valid on–ground experience.”
Arizona Association of Conservation Districts
The Arizona Association of Conservation Districts was established in 1944 by Arizona’s Conservation Districts as a means of support to help coordinate and fund locally-led conservation efforts across the state and to unify and represent District goals and interests.
Idaho Fish and Game
Idaho Fish and Game's mission is to protect, preserve, perpetuate and manage Idaho's wildlife resources.
New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department
EMNRD strives to make our state a leader in developing reliable supplies of energy, and energy-efficient technologies and practices, with a balanced approach toward conserving our renewable and non-renewable resources; to protect the environment and ensure responsible reclamation of land and resources affected by mineral extraction; to be effective in leading our state in growing healthy, sustainable forests and managing them for a variety of users and ecologically sound uses; and to improve the state park system into a nationwide leader that contributes to a sustainable economy statewide while protecting New Mexico’s natural, cultural, and recreational resources for posterity.
New Mexico Game and Fish
It is the mission of New Mexico’s Game and Fish Department: “To conserve, regulate, propagate and protect the wildlife and fish within the state of New Mexico using a flexible management system that ensures sustainable use for public food supply, recreation and safety; and to provide for off-highway motor vehicle recreation that recognizes cultural, historic, and resource values while ensuring public safety.”
Grant Soil and Water Conservation District
The Conservation Partnership provides the framework that can access financial support. Many of these practices are beyond the reach of individual producers. Food in the United States is abundant and relatively inexpensive. The Conservation Partnership can claim a small amount of credit for that fact. Grant SWCD teams with the Grant County Extension Service to provide applied agricultural research programs that enrich youth activities and promote occupations that can remain in rural areas.
Colorado State Forest Service
The mission of the Colorado State Forest Service is to achieve stewardship of Colorado’s diverse forest environments for the benefit of present and future generations. We are a service and outreach agency of the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University.
Colorado Water Conservation Board
The Colorado Water Conservation Board's mission is to conserve, develop, protect and manage Colorado's water for present and future generations.
Huerfano County Water Conservancy District
Originally formed under the Water Conservancy Act, the District has broad powers and responsibilities - to acquire water rights and land as well as to construct and manage projects to conserve water and provide for its greatest beneficial use
